This is likely cryslmallon result from the lack of iron in the vent fluid of Solitaire Nakamura et al. Gastropods from recent squamoferum vents and cold seeps: Each layer appear to contribute to the effectiveness of the snail’s defense in different sqjamiferum. The shell roughly resembles Peltospira McLean, in shape, but the initial whorl is depressed and the shell does not have the strong lamellar sculpture that is present in all species of Peltospira.
