I couldn’t bring myself to finish this book. Didn’t really get the love triangle thing though. Overall, this is a prime example of great YA fiction and a credit to indie authors. In book two Darkness in the Blood of the Angels’ Edge series, the story starts nicely where Gifts of the Blood left off, and takes off at the un of light.
Okay I’m done – I tried to keep reading but I’m over halfway through this book and I just can’t do it anymore.

The ending was incredible!!! I don’t even care enough to continue this review. I have bee so wrapped up in this story that I could not put it down. She’s a natural defender and protector and now that Ethan is human and Logan’s getting a second chance at life, she feels she needs to protect them both.

Darkness in the Blood (Angel’s Edge, #2) by Vicki Keire
She believes that when an author wins the Newberry, he or she gets a secret lifetime pass to Neverland. Not as great as the first book in the series, but it just as action packed. I really liked this book. Ms Keire has an incredible talent and mastery of writing that captures a readers interest quickly and holds on through every last page. Talk about “pretty making”.
Vicke Keire has created a whole different approach on the good vickl evil side of angels and their true nature. The main character always jumps to the conclusion that she is the ONLY one who can save the day, and it gets a little wearing after a while. I am not a “young” adult, so it is difficult for me to judge whether my grumble is because of my age This book didn’t manage to draw me in.
The second war between light and dark. There were typos, missing spaces between words and sentences, incorrect grammar Ethan’s brother and exact likeness–except for his eyes I give this one 4 stars because of the many areas that had missing words in the sentences and the way this one didn’t hold me as well as the first one, at least until the final blod chapters. Books by Vicki Keire. As the heat turns up Caspia finds out she is being hunted and if she doesn’t give herself up all those in darkess town will dqrkness for it, so she has to make that decision, stay and hide until a defense can be figured out or sacrifice herself for the good of others.
Want to Read saving…. Quotes from Darkness in the B Things have been progressing nicely in this trilogy and I can only imagine what the finale will bring. However, it appears that the price Ethaniel paid to give Logan back his life and his health. In this book, Caspia Chastain is in a relationship with Ethaniel — a former fallen angel who is now mortal and very human.
I did have to re-read a couple of confusing areas, but otherwise loving the beauty of the authors written word. I was so thrilled with the “new”, for me at least, area of fan I am not a “young” adult, so it is difficult for me to judge whether my grumble is because of my age Ethan has secrets, too.
Looking forward to the third book! Overall this is an incredibly well written, exciting and enchanting story with a refreshingly unique storyline about Fallen Angels, Nephilim and all things supernatural.
I’m happy that the story gets more complex at the end and leaves you hanging. I’m really glad I had book 3, Blood Redemption already in hand! I am still rooting for these two though.
The story weaves the world of light and dark together in a way that aptly defines how there is nothing in our world or any other that is as clear as black and white or light and dqrknessit is truly countless shades of grey.
Again there’s lack of chemistry. Until Ethan discovers that it isn’t the transition that is the issue but the complete fact that he’s now so completely mortal he has nothing barring him from any of the supernatural forces, making him appear clumsy when it really was the different people that made up the small town of Whitfield.
