Some guy name Trevor goes all James Bond on the bad guys and you expect him to end up being an undercover special arrctic kind of guy, but he just fades away.

There’s this surplus of story lines and characters that just litter the otherwise engaging main plot. Those complaints aside I like the main story. Also by Clive CusslerDirk Cussler. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it.

I mean I even agree that the guy was bad but you still don’t take matters in to your own hands and get away with it. I enjoyed reading Arctic Drift and recommend it for all audiences.

Lots of action and a great subject matter made for a very good adventure book, just what I needed! It takes place primarily in British Columbia drlft in Canada’s Arctic and the basis of the story is global warming and climate control.

However, at the end of the novel the chemical reaction is described as breaking down cusslef dioxide into water and hydrogen. Across the country, a scientist has discovered that the greenhouse gasses can be reversed using a rare silver mineral that was loaded on board the 19th century ships.

This was a solid car CD for a medium-long trip. However, Cussler does not provide the real scientific findings about metal poisoning that drove part of the Franklin’s crew insane.

I love how Rrift Cussler combines history and science in the Dirk Pitt adventures. But no one survived from that doomed mission. Nov 24, Jerry rated it really liked it. Pitt and Giordino find the wreck of the Terror, one of those two ships, as part of the story, although they also find the other one later one, and giving you that information is not a spoiler! My love hate with Clive Cussler continues. They will need to solve a centuries-old mystery to save the earth.

Usually Cussler’s story moves right along through the witty dialog of Dirk and sidekick Al, but in this book there’s lots of third person narrative where the action slows down.
