I really, really wanted to like this book. I liked the development o I don’t know why but I have a thing for Hades and Persephone re-tales of the story. I can’t find this on Amazon So, here’s the thing. I finished this book about 3 weeks ago You’re thousands of years old – figure it out!
We have a mission for you. That would be a one-way ticket.
Asphodel (The Underworld Trilogy, #1) by Lauren Hammond
Just wanted to put that out there for anyone wanting to read this or has read this. The romance felt off to me. I believe it was mentioned that she had one every seventeen years, so does that mean that once it happens the next year the clock gets reset to birthday number one? She has supposedly lived for centuries asphosel yet she still cries at the drop of a hat; still flustered by a cute boy; still doesn’t question why her mother won’t answer some basic questions.
I did have some problems with the writing.
Review I apologize for the very short synopsis, but I wasn’t able to make it more than 50 pages in asphosel the novel. It was a complete struggle to read and nearly impossible to enjoy.
Judging at the plot summary, I thought the whole plot will revolve around Persephone finding the last Pomegranate tree to be with bammond beloved Hades. It belongs in the underworld.
The novel feels like it was written by a a very young, new writer. Beverly, you have to get into mythology.
I kind of like bad boys, so I might actually be a little excited about the idea. Told from multiple perspectives, I found myself drawn into each character’s view and clung onto every word, waiting for what came next. She has two more novels in the works, as well as some film projects I only got to the part where Persephone finally comes into the book to explain Hades voice in her dream It was mentioned a number of times that Persephone had had many 17th birthdays, the implication seemingly that her age never stretched any further than that, but that was it.
So far so good. The woman called her Demeter. The plot of the book is action filled and keeps you at the edge of your seat.
He swore he saw Persephone dancing around in the whirling flames with a radiant smile on her face and the illusion made his heart ache. I love that this book is a twist on it. Brenda, good call on the bh.

I’m not sure if the rest of her body of work follows this example, but I will not search out more of her books to check. Hades examined him, hoping to scorch him with his gaze. I liked the development of Persephone feelings and the way she acted.
But Zeus has reduced every pomegranate tree in the world to ash. He did not want to leave. The mother extended her hand.
