The current collaboration service, Defense Connect Onlinehas been a valuable tool for DOD users, allowing them to communicate and share information securely conmect instant messaging, low bandwidth text chat and web conferencing. Live training for groups can be requested through disa. Sincewhen DCO was initially launched, it has been lauded by officials as a popular and secure communication tool despite capacity limitations.
DCS will operate very similarly to DCO, providing users with stand-alone chat service with audio and video deefense along with screen sharing, polling and multi-user chat room and Web conferencing capabilities. The mission partner is responsible for taking the training and ensuring that their local network and systems are optimized and sustained for DCS service. DISA Ecosystem manages the infrastructure and provides operational support for network, server, customer support.
