Rowansmark is THE enemy. We see a different Logan this time, too.

DECEPTION by C.J. Redwine | Kirkus Reviews

She was boring, self-involved, up herself, obsessed with her love interest, and reckless. The Commander would he freaking die already is still relentlessly pursing them at whatever costs but there is a new threat that has them all on their toes and looking over their shoulder at every second. Let me die with dignity.

Aug 18, Whitley Birks rated it liked it Shelves: This was hilarious but also felt SO out of character for Quinn. It almost cost you your own.

Book Talk: Deception by CJ Redwine

There was so much sadness and loss in their lives that I admire their strength and survival instincts. And boy did Redwine deliver a powerful sequel. Especially through Rachel in this one.

It’s rare that there are second books in YA trilogies that do not suffer from any form of sophomore book syndrome. He was smart and compassionate decsption quick thinking.

But nothing comes easy for our group as they are chased through the Wasteland by the Commanders army and also have to deal with sabotage on the inside. Olive skin, wears hair in a braid, sarcastic, brilliant with a bow and arrow Baalboden has been ravaged.

But she stayed strong and still kicked all the butt I could have wanted her too. Now I need c.redwine third please! They both have so many responsibilities and try to protect the other.

And Rachel, grief stricken over her father’s death, needs Logan more than ever. I spin away from the rabbit, toss the bow onto the ground, and pull Rachel against me before she can open her mouth to tell me she was right—for once, c.j.rwdwine was the answer instead of math. D Gotta go read the third one, hoping it’s not too long! Lists with This Book.

Deception (Defiance , book 2) by C J Redwine

I cheered the group on while they were facing difficult passages, and waiting to see if they would even make it was driving me mad! Deception, titled brilliantly, picks up exactly where it left off in Defiance with Baalbadon destroyed, Logan our fearless and compassionate leader who takes everything to heart and blames himself for all the death and destruction in charge and Rachel, who needed to be smacked upside the head several timeson the verge of a complete and utter breakdown.

Granted, hers have been more emotionally driven, and reckless but still…Logan? I have only one grievance that hardly registers on my radar. Loss has become second nature, but the effects have hindered her judgment.

Deception gave me that reaction.

Recaptains is the only site you’ll ever need when you forget what happens in a series. It is awesome and leaning on each other is how they get through it all. His stupid plan was to try and jump off the bridge before the explosion, into the rocky water below decepfion hope he can survive.

He tries pulling away and stopping her. I did this for the last post and I liked it. Another thing I enjoyed about this book is how Rachel deals with grief. Under constant threat from rival Carrington’s army, who is after the device that controls the Cursed One, the group decides to abandon the ruins of their home and take their chances in the Wasteland.

We get to know so many new characters and get to know our orgional characters even more as well. Reluctant year-old leader Logan knows they will soon be beset: Their differences are what makes them so perfect for each other though because they fit and stabilize like two pieces of a puzzle. And Rachel, grief stricken over her father’s death, needs Logan more than ever. Will definitely be reading the last book in this trilogy for sure. I totally recommend reading this book, I would give 10 stars if I could.

It’s a beautiful thing to experience. So what did I like? Thanks for telling us about the problem. This goes to show how much of an exceptional writer Redwine is.
