This story has a lot of good life lessons that really should be given to more people. And, since I finished this in one morning, it’s clearly the sort of book that catches you and makes you want to keep reading.
Wherever Neal goes, he quickly earns a reputation as a storyteller and dynamic speaker. Their bones and heart turn hard and they are forever a statue in time.
But Tara’s strangeness, and undeniable attractability, is a hodge-podge of attributes–she’s exotically beautiful, has the strangest blond dread locks, always wears mirrored sunglasses, and has an aversion to the belief of personal property. He’s always been given everything he’s ever wanted, due to the fact that his parents are wealthy.

Nov 05, Riley Chenard rated it it was amazing. The idea is that humans can’t maintain relevant lives without a continual flow of new challenges and demands—and yes, even troubles—coming our way. Not like anything I’ve read before. It just happened there was a too much bed and a too little bed and they stopped at the third “Just right” one. He’s not smarter than the rest of them, he’s not richer, poorer, more self-aware.

I see no limit to how high Neal Shusterman can ascend as a writer, to what he can accomplish going forward from this point in his career. Parker tries to shrug it off until he realizes he might dreadloocks a much bigger player in the game than he realizes.
Parker ends up spending more time with Tara and in the process Tara ends up turning Parker into what she is, a Gorgon. I’ve scanned a few of the other reviews and this is the start of a fusion series that is supposed to be ablend of two mythos into a new tale.

Nov 13, Alecia Smith rated it really liked it. It was gross but also pretty funny. I won’t mention the myth as that would be spoiler-y, but Dreadlocks was creative and I’ll probably pick up another Dark Fusion read. Anyone else going in blind like I did would have assumed, as I did, that this was merely a contemporary story based on the Medusa mythos.
I think that this book had a good concept, but for me it just didn’t follow through in the ‘interesting’ category. Part of the Darkfusion series. Jul 16, Kaethe rated it it was ok Shelves: When you can do anything, you find there’s nothing you really care to do.
I finished drreadlocks in one morning. Ordinarily the middle of the road character can be interesting. I love how everything just gets weirder and weirder as the story unfolds.
