There’s so much to say about the plot and yet I’m feeling as I’ve already said too much. I guess everyone else is seeing something in it that I’m just missing. Marchettta hated it and could not stomach it at any point in time. These connections make Finnikin, Sir Topher and Evanjalin open up on their pasts, life experiences and fears.

I’m having a hard time pinning down what I didn’t like about this story.

This book takes a little bit to actually get going and took me about pages to fully get into it, but when it gets good it gets so good. At the age of nine, Finnikin received a prophecy from the gods that warned him about the destruction of his homeland Lumatere. This is my second time and i love it as much as i did back then.
