Garritan is the world’s leading provider of quality virtual software instruments. of a marching band, or the drama of a full symphony orchestra — inside any size. The Garritan Orchestral Strings library has now been integrated with our Garritan Personal Orchestra 5 library. With this package GPO 5. BUT the “new” garritan orchestral strings included in GPO5 have something odd a LOT of noise when i play the notes.. it is real? or is it just.

Garritan Orchestral Stringsit sounds horrible for chamber music | Cakewalk Forums
I like Kirk Hunter’s Spotlight Strings for smaller ensembles. For that, try Dan Dean Solo Strings. Rasmus HartvigApr 17, Rodney Money likes this. Forums Posts Latest Posts.
But how much of that was the sample set, and how much was the mix and mastering? I disagree – but hey, I’m probably using the piano and oboe and you’re probably using the organ and timpani – or whatever – but don’t worry, none taken ; I don’t do orchestral scores – i just want a bank of those kinda sounds which stand up to scrutiny which you can’t hear obvious looping in.
Again, maybe the top dollar programs and Sonic IMplants is expensive for everything sound better. Sorry for not answering your question concerning strings, but I thought you might want to hear what you can do with the Garritan brass, woodwinds, and percussion also.
I think they have smaller sections too. Sepheritoh I do not think GPO is made for a plug-and-play envionment.
There are loads of well executed articulations and effects just waiting to be used. GPO – in particular is very easy to get started with – My daughter was able to wite and performa sn original score for a competition play with it – which wn an award at the state drama competition. I haven’t heard anything that could compare to these samples from any other vendors.
Ignore Threads by Nobita. But the solo violins are the best samples I’ve ever had.
Help help I like something about Garritan Personal Orchestra
Sepheritoh Max Output Level: Maybe it’s just set up only for big orchestral arrangements? Garritan also offers excellent orvhestral support. What are the best small-section or divisi strings out there? They’re good for that classic “we didn’t want to pay for a whole orchestra or a large studio, but we got a few violinists in” sound from the pre-samples era. Yeah, there are parts where it sounds strjngs little synthy.
The new songs I will be doing will be using Sonic Implants Symphonic. Garritan provides ability to to put together small ensmbles that dound very nice though in my opinion the smaller the more flawed.
Qwerty69 Max Output Level: It’s the best library for that kind of sound.
I guess strrings it’s not working right for you talking about loops in this context says enough They translate well to any application, whether you are writing out parts for a live orchestra or are composing a chamber ensemble for a film score.
Sivler demos are all done by the same guys. A film composer colleague in L. You’ll never be happy with the results. Anyone who says that they don’t sound good, has not taken the time to learn to use them.
Haven’t received registration validation E-mail? But she was very meticulous and took the time to really tweak.
They are extremely powerful, but they’re not something you can just install on your machine and expect it to sound immediately like Beethoven. For a few hundred dollars, this might be reasonable, but I was really impressed by the EWQL Silver especially knowing that you can upgrade to the higher editions later. They are among the nicest samples out there – right now.
Garritan Orchestral Strings…it sounds horrible for chamber music
An outstanding representation of master instrument builders. That’s my defense of Garritan. And Gary posts demos by users so you need to take with a grain of salt.
For instance, in the violin section there are two Stradivari dating back to the early seventeen hundreds as well as instruments by Guarneri, Gaglian, Klotz, etc. Sorry, can’t comment on Garritan Strings, but since you asked for other suggestions If GPO is using amateur sequencing, then I disagree with their business strategy, because the demos that I heard are lacking. They are both very good.
Silver has more ambiance built in so its got more hollywood sound out of the box. The recordings are clean and crisp. Give GPO some time and attention and it will surely deliver!
I am shocked, puzzled, and curious, as this is at odds with what I’ve read and Gary Garritan’s reputation. The basses in particular stand out in this set; they are very rich and sound impressively ominous. I also second the opinion on SI-Strings.
