True, there are the ten pages or so at the very end of the book where the Sukhvinder character suddenly redeems her family relationships, but 10 pages out of pages of darkness and despair?

Rowling 2 16 Jan 08, So I’m just going to do a review by putting aside thoughts of how much I love JK Rowling and Harry Potter, and think of this as something completely different which it is. I can’t even give it two stars merely because I can’t find a single thing I like.
And under no circumstances should you give this one to your children to read. But I’ll read anything; I’ve been known to hide under the sheets with a flashlight and a magnifying glass to drink in a really great read.
The biggest problem that this book had was its lack of focus. I struggled along hoping to find a protagonist I could get behind and cheer for; yet, I continue to discover more and more scenes that made me like the characters less and less.
And who nowadays thinks that merit and publicity have anything do with each other? If you have read The Casual Vacancy already, then I’d recommend a careful diet of imprevitsa books, exercise, and several months counseling. vacannte
There aren’t any bonds of love or friendship, and if Rowling says there are, I never felt them. The characters are all mostly unlikable and boring.
Yeah, it’s not a perfect series that spot is occupied by the Lord of the Ringsbut it’s a great read. Where are my expectations? With the way Rowling wrote it, I had no doubt in my mind of what the citizens were feeling, and yet I myself felt mostly indifference.

I expected more in terms of language, even though, obviously, her theme is very different from her other work, and I admit I was disappointed. I have no idea why Rowling would write this book.

Refresh and try again. I finished it last night and slammed the book shut, angry and disgusted with myself for wasting having spent a couple nk drowning in the cesspool of JK Rowling’s imagination. The Casual Vacancy has all the satisfactions and frustrations of this kind of novel. This book is full of cursing and rather explicit sexually and drugs.
Also, she was probably looking for some kind of substance, because at the end of the day, this book really doesn’t have a lot going for it plot-wise.
What’s predictable about that? Want to Read Currently Reading Read.
Rowling wrote a book for adults. She could have chosen to do something more literary, The Casual Vacancy more than a few times feels closer to the genre of books by authors who release new titles every 3 months.
I know what imprevisra capable of, but you won’t find it in this novel.
