I thought the whole mafia connection to be unnecessary and the “ending” to pat. I thought the end was a bit muddle since too many crimes were all mixed up together and solved a bit too neatly.

An investigative reporter and a police chief join forces to find a murderer in the town of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Interesting characters some might say a few weird onesa good story line,a fair amount of wit, a great deal of suspense, just enough twists and turns and a little romance makes for good reading, and Karen Robards provides all of this in Superstition. It had a few surprises at the end, but throughout the book I was hoping for at least a few red herrings and more suspense, but there wasn’t much.

Maybe I am too harsh on this genreā€¦. Wonderful a truly enjoyable author that is why I continue to buy her books I hope to read many more, of the same quality. Nicky, with Leonora in tow and John following, charged up it like the little engine that could.

Joe is a former vice cop from New Jersey who was superstotion to resign, ending up in the sleepy southern town with an inexperienced department now responsible for searching for what appears to be a serial killer.
