As a total novice to gemstones, this was quite hard to get into with the many terms used cleavage, birefringence, fire, lustre gemstobes towards the end of the book, I found myself understanding these terms in relation to other gems.

Read more Read less. I need information on dealing with jewelry from a realtive’s estate. I had bought some black spinel and it’s not included at all in this book despite being a new, popular gemstone.
I had a lot of fun looking up my favorites and reading about them as well as looking at ones I don’t hahdbooks about as much. Applicable only on ATM card, debit card or credit card orders. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. It has a separate section for organics as pearls and amber.
